I dunno if anyone's read Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen... but if you have you'll understand my rant. If not be warned of a possible spoiler.

So Lireal gets a new surcoat at the Abhorsen's house. It's described as being quarted with the silver keys of the Abhorsen and the gold keys of the Clayr. Now in my mind that means the surcoat would look kinda like this:

but on the cover of Abhorsen it looks like this. Now my problem with this is that a Lireal costume would not be recognisable because people would expect the bookcover surcoat, but I go by book descriptions instead of cover art.

Even if you have not read those books, you should. They have to be my favorite series other than Harry Potter.

Ah, drunken parties. I managed to convince drunken people to do more stupid shit.

I got in a fullblown swordfight with a high school drama teacher I met at the party. They were wooden practice swords, but they still sting like a bitch when you get hit. I managed to escape with only one bruse. It was actually pretty cool, but I should worry that I'm of the age to be hanging out with and even being hit on by high school teachers. Ah well, he seemed cool enough.

Trying to decide which Cons to go to. I already preordered Dragon Con, and I'm thinking about HallowCon and ChattaCon. Maybe AWA, but seeing as I usually hate anime that one doesn't seem as likely.

Should I feel bad for being glad my boyfriend didn't win me in the slave auction at Sci Fi Summer last night?
I was sold for $270... that was the most anyone paid that night. The second most expensive slave got sold for $110. Quite a nice ego boost. Also I didn't get sold to the guy dressed as Edgar Allen Poe... Though I mist admit there was something strangely alluring in his overwhelming creepiness, heh.

My panel was sorta a disaster, but it wasn't a complete failure and people had fun. The radio theater shows went well. I ended up getting a bunch of con fanboys out of it. The only problem with looking younger than I am is that I keep getting hit on by 15 year olds.

What everyone should understand is that I love guys and I love the challenge of making them fall for me. I just don't actually want to have sex with them. I'll kiss them for a few minutes, then I get bored, so I usually just leave it as them following me around being a lovesick idiot. I gotta stop being friendly to guys at sci fi cons, they are so clingy to any girl who is friendly to them.

Lovely, just lovely. Today was a nice ball of awkward. I ran into an ex boyfriend at the renn fest. It woulda been ok if he hadn't kept kissing my cheeks and my head every chance he got... IN FRONT OF MY CURRENT BOYFRIEND!
Gah, guys are so stupid. Why must they harbor hope of getting back together with me. This is not good because he's gonna end up wanting to hang out. I'd be fine if it really was just hanging out, but he's already made it quite clear to me that the girl he's marrying is only second to me. He's told me that he'd leave her for me... he has before. In my defense, though, I didn't realize he thought we were getting back together.

Oh dear, it seems this boyfriend is gonna keep running into my ex boyfriends. He already knew I had more experiance than him, but now he's gonna think I've dated the whole city.

It's easy to rack them up when you only date them for about a month. Doesn't help that he knows I've left guys for other guys on multiple occasions. If it's any consolation (which I doubt it is) I didn't really care about most of them.

Maybe I'm destined to be 'the one who got away' to half the guys I meet. Girls get over breakups, guys don't. They never really move on. They always think I'll eventually come back to them. *sigh* Maybe I'm just dating the wrong guys?

Man, I love being me. I have the best connections in the world. I got a job without even having to apply or interview because I just happened to know the owner of the company I was going to apply to. He just asked when I wanted to start.

Also I got another panel at another convention because I happen to know people who know these con's creators.

And I am now performing with the Atlanta Radio Theater Company (ARTC) because a friend who writes scripts wrote me a character. I'm now Charmer, a main character in a radio theater series. We might end up doing a superlong overnight performance at Dragon con.

I'm hoping to get an over-the-week job at the DASS salon because they'll train me to cut hair.

Oh dude. So I went thrift store shopping with this friend of mine. He's the absolute cutest gay guy ever. He was dressing me up and decided to try on a ball gown himself. He goes in the changing room and while in there gets a call from his boyfriend. He loudly tells him he's not wearing underwear today. Then he has problems putting the gown on and pulls me into the dressing room. He's naked. So I help him get the dress on and he runs out of the dressing room to look in the mirror before I can point out that it's see thru in the most inconvienent area. Then when I told him he said "oh god" and ran back into the dressing room. So funny.

You know, I don't mind being treated like his dress up doll, he has a neat style.

My boyfriend got pwned! Acting like he knew more about Harry Potter than me. The fool, bwahahaha.

Anyways, he was saying that I would've been a character that was supposed to be in slytherin, but was sort of a traitor for choosing gryffindor. He said there should be a character like that. I corrected him by saying that's what Sirius did.
He was like "oh, yeah I guess so" when his mind was probably thinking "how did she know that without having to think for a minute?"

Oh dear. Seems three guys who I've been friends with are now all pissed at me because I'm not dating them. Well, two guys are pissed because I'm not dating them; one guy is pissed because I still spend a lot of time with the other two forementioned guys.

First:

The guy that runs one of the local Sci Fi conventions wants me to be on a panel... actually I pretty much would be the panel! Man, I got a bunch of free art supplies today. Unfortunately most of it was stuff I already had (self-healing cutting board, tracing paper, tubes of watercolor, bunch of blank cds) which I gave to my new roommate. Some nice pecils and a brush are about all I kept.

Point is, I have 10 blank cds. I would like ten mixed cds. SO, if you would like a mixed cd from me leave me a comment or IM me. All I ask in return is a mixed cd from you.

Still so much to do. Gotta continue refining and adding more contrast to the figure, get rid of outlines, refine the background... this thing's a bitch, it's not even halfway done. It's already about four layers at this point. Why the fuck didn't I shade on the hand at all?
I need to figure out a good way to do fog coated distant background.

I'm not meant to be opressed by college. I'm meant to be free in the world, allowed to create whatever I want... Make cartoons and such. I've changed my major three times in two years, and now I'm transfering to a state school. *sigh* I lose the bragging rights of art college, but gain free tuition so it evens out.
Bleh, classes are too structured for me. They just need to show me how to do something then leave me at it. I slacked off in cell animation because the assignment was stupid.

All I gotta say is this: If I was given creative control of a cartoon series the world would be a stranger and more amusing place.

That being said, I'm working on some scripts to send in to adult swim. If I wanted to claw my way up to the top I could get a job there just inking, but I'd rather shoot for the stars... With my luck it just might work.

Yay, I got to take a shower!
